Fix the small things first
Pre-Treatment Roof Tune-Up in Plant City
Treatment pays off most on a roof without weak spots. The tune-up clears away the small odds and ends beforehand, so a handful of loose shingles never cost you the roof you already own.
Where the tune-up starts and where it stops
The tune-up is light, careful work meant for a roof that is basically sound. When something bigger turns up, we say so and send you to a roofing contractor instead of stretching the job.
Part of the tune-up
- Replacing loose or missing shingles
- Sealing exposed nail heads
- Resealing flashing where it has lifted
- Securing vents and pipe boots
Roofer work, not ours
- Leaks or water stains inside the house
- Widespread storm damage
- Rotted or soft decking
- Tearing off and re-roofing
Why the small stuff matters
The oil soaks into shingles that are whole and lying flat. A lifted tab, a backed-out nail or a split pipe boot leaves a weak point that no treatment will close, and a few of those are normal on a roof that has sat through plenty of Florida summers. Putting them right costs a sliver of what a re-roof does, and it keeps the rest of the roof — the part that is still perfectly sound — on the house and out of the landfill. We schedule the tune-up ahead of a shingle rejuvenation, so the treatment goes onto a surface that is ready for it.
How we keep it tidy
Blended in where we can
Replacement shingles are picked to sit in with the rest of the roof, so a fix does not shout from the street.
Nothing left behind
Old nails, offcuts and wrappers come down the ladder with us. Your beds, drive and lawn stay as they were.
Shown before it is touched
You hear what needs doing and what it costs before we fix a thing, and we can point out each spot for you.
